On January 31, 2026, the Bamaena clan gathered from across Uganda for a historic Annual General Meeting (AGM) filled with joy, unity, and purpose. Clan members from Eastern Uganda came together to elect new leadership that will guide the Bamaena people for the next five years.
Our Roots and Reach
The Bamaena clan is rooted in Banashimolo County, Sironko District, on the beautiful western slopes of Mount Elgon, Uganda. Our people have a rich heritage and serve communities across:
- Banashimolo County — Our ancestral homeland
- Bashiende County — Extended family communities
- Bakyiende County — Growing clan presence
This AGM brought together Bamaena from all these regions and beyond, demonstrating the strength and unity of our people.

A Day of Joy and Celebration
The AGM was not just about business — it was a celebration of who we are as a people. Families reconnected, elders shared wisdom with the youth, and children played together, forging bonds that will last a lifetime.
